English National Ballet cancel ballet for Shanghai
The British Council and English National Ballet have cancelled the performance of a new ballet by company dancer Van Le Ngoc for the Shanghai Expo because the composer, Pete Wyer had dedicated his score to the people of Tibet. Read more in the Guardian, 1 Sep 2010

Morris revisited
Pop artist David Owen is organising 5,000 Morris dancers at Southbank Centre this weekend (3 – 5 Sep). “There is something challenging about seeing six burly men holding hands with bells on their ankles, doing a slightly effeminate dance.
